Sanskrit is the oldest language in the world and the most helpful for understanding India’s knowledge traditions. Our Vedas, Upanishads, Brahmanas, Aranyakas—all were composed in Sanskrit. Today, global interest in Sanskrit is growing—countries like the USA and Germany are teaching Sanskrit using gurukul-style methods. 
In Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College Sanskrit department is at its peak. This department is one of the courses that has been offered by the college from the very beginning. In the library of our college is a specific part reserved for our department where one can find all the books for their courses. From the year 2012, this department has been under the mentoring of Dr. Sunita Sharma. This department organized different kinds of competitions, webinars, and lectures from time to time to enhance the knowledge of their students in the Sanskrit language.
